Hugh Salway is Senior Director for Market Development and Partnerships at Gold Standard, one of the world’s leading carbon crediting standards with over 2000 projects in more than 100 countries worldwide. Hugh is responsible for Gold Standard’s partnerships with the government, corporate, investment and project development communities, as well as leading work on capacity-building, advocacy and initiatives to strengthen the integrity of carbon markets for the future. Prior to joining Gold Standard in 2021, Hugh worked for eight years in the British Government, most recently as its Head of International Carbon Markets, as well as other roles in HM Treasury, the Cabinet Office and the Department for Energy and Climate Change.

Sofia Stayte is a government professional skilled in policy development, delivery and implementation, as well as public finance strategy. She has led the Future of Flight Programme for the UK government since 2021. During her Transport policy career, Sofia set up and led a new Rail Workforce Strategy policy, led on Aviation Brexit Negotiations, Aviation Consumer and International Travel policy during Covid. Sofia is a member of the Government Policy Profession and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accounting.

Kerissa Khan is a globally recognised aerospace executive developing innovative solutions for people, the planet and progress. Shaping international policy, accelerating adoption of future flight technologies, and spearheading responsible air transport solutions to address critical human and environmental needs.

Richard Wilson is a highly innovative and capable Aerospace Engineer (Whole Aircraft Specialist) with 30 years experience delivering the highest quality analysis of aircraft and engine level issues supporting major technical and business decisions. Richard is an active contributor to the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS), serving as a volunteer Executive Committee Member for the Greener by Design.

Dan Walker is a Chartered Environmentalist with an interest in sustainability, particularly with regard to climate change. He has built in-depth knowledge of the technical and legal requirements of the travel and transport sector, specialising in aviation, especially with regard to carbon mitigation work programs and corporate social responsibility reporting. His previous experience of working in sustainability at two UK airlines (Thomas Cook and Jet2), regulating aviation emissions in the EU ETS and contributing to writing the monitoring, reporting and verification scheme for CORSIA.

Sameer Savani is a highly skilled and forward-thinking leader with a strong focus on innovation. With a deep background in both academia and industry, he brings a unique blend of technical expertise, large scale people leadership, and strategic vision.

Marjan Schoeke is VP of Commercial Strategic Projects at Vertical Aerospace. Marjan is a senior aviation manager with focus on commercial planning and strategy. He enables effective cooperation between departments with focus to create sustainable revenue opportunities, cost savings and meaningful data insights.

Dr Thomas Budd is an Associate Professor of Airport Decarbonisation in the Centre for Air Transport Management at Cranfield University, UK. His research and teaching activities span a range of air transport sustainability issuesMuch of his current work concerns the integration of zero emissions fuels into airport systems, where he has helped deliver various trials involving the use of hydrogen powered ground support equipment (GSE). Thomas’ role is supported by Heathrow Airport where he is currently leading a programme of work to develop an airside test-bed capability for trialling innovations to support decarbonisation at the airport. He sits on various international air specialist committees and working groups, including the UK CAA’s Hydrogen Working Group for Aerodromes and Airports and Zero Emissions Flight Infrastructure Sub group (ZEFIG).  

Simon McNamara joined Loganair in 2025 as Head of Government & Corporate Affairs, where he leads the airline’s engagement with the Scottish and UK Governments, industry stakeholders, and regional and island communities. His role encompasses policy development, external advocacy and the advancement of Loganair’s environmental and commercial objectives. McNamara brings 30 years of aviation industry experience to the role.
