With a background in physics, economics, and education, Emma Brown sits within Heathrow’s carbon and sustainability function. She represents the airport as a subject‑matter expert on hydrogen, alongside wider work on greenhouse gas removals, non‑CO₂ impacts, and low‑carbon materials. Her work focuses on understanding the role emerging technologies can play in aviation and airport decarbonisation, from early‑stage innovation and trials through to infrastructure readiness and integration with wider systems.

As Director of the Digital Factory at NMIS and Director of the UKRI Remake Value Retention Centre, Stephen Fitzpatrick leads a team of 80 engineers and scientists driving science and technology in manufacturing and remanufacturing. Passionate about the circular economy, Stephen develops new repair, remanufacturing and demanufacturing solutions to extend product life and optimise circular opportunities for organisations within high-integrity sectors such as aerospace and wind energy.

Keir Mather was appointed Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State (Minister for Aviation, Maritime and Decarbonisation) in the Department for Transport on 7 September 2025. Keir is responsible for aviation and airport expansio, maritime, decarbonisation and electric vehicles (EVs), freight and borders, and international security.

He was previously Assistant Whip, House of Commons between 10 July 2024 and 7 September 2025. He was elected as the MP for Selby in July 2024.

Shea Bickerstaff is the Senior Business Development Manager, Global Military, for AVLITE, a part of SPX Aids to Navigation (AtoN), where he focuses on airfield lighting solutions. With more than 30 years of aviation leadership experience, he also serves as the subject matter expert in airport operations, regulatory affairs, air traffic control, and airfield systems integration.

Elena Cuenca is Policy Officer for Sustainability at the European Regions Airline Association (ERA), where she leads policy work on environmental regulation affecting regional aviation. Her work focuses on the decarbonisation of air transport, including sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) and key EU climate policies such as the ReFuelEU Aviation Regulation and the EU Emissions Trading System. Through ERA’s engagement with European institutions and industry stakeholders, she brings insights into how sustainability policies can support both aviation decarbonisation and regional connectivity.
