Dr Thomas Budd is an Associate Professor of Airport Decarbonisation in the Centre for Air Transport Management at Cranfield University, UK. His research and teaching activities span a range of air transport sustainability issues. Much of his current work concerns the integration of zero emissions fuels into airport systems, where he has helped deliver various trials involving the use of hydrogen powered ground support equipment (GSE). Thomas’ role is supported by Heathrow Airport where he is currently leading a programme of work to develop an airside test-bed capability for trialling innovations to support decarbonisation at the airport. He sits on various international air specialist committees and working groups, including the UK CAA’s Hydrogen Working Group for Aerodromes and Airports and Zero Emissions Flight Infrastructure Sub group (ZEFIG).
Simon McNamara joined Loganair in 2025 as Head of Government & Corporate Affairs, where he leads the airline’s engagement with the Scottish and UK Governments, industry stakeholders, and regional and island communities. His role encompasses policy development, external advocacy and the advancement of Loganair’s environmental and commercial objectives. McNamara brings 30 years of aviation industry experience to the role.
David Debney leads on overall aircraft technology assessments and analysis, including future aircraft concepts. He has responsibility for modelling capability, tools and methods to inform ATI’s technology strategy. David’s experience in the aerospace sector spans technology, product development, certification and in-service support. He currently chairs the UK Jet Zero Taskforce Task and Finish Group for Hydrogen Aircraft, and previously chaired the Jet Zero Council Zero-Emission Aircraft Group. He also led the creation of the FlyZero project, working with industry and government stakeholders to launch the groundbreaking study. He was Chief Engineer for Aircraft Integration during the delivery phase of FlyZero and worked closely with the Project Director on overall strategy.
Vanessa Lowe is part of the Structured Finance team at Santander CIB, specialising in debt advisory and project financing for the energy transition sector including CCUS, sustainable fuels and other energy transition topics.

Greg Archer is the European Policy Director at LanzaTech. He is an experienced leader & board director across various businesses, public and the third sector. Greg is an accomplished communicator and advocate with extensive knowledge of UK and European public affairs and a track record in delivering regulatory change in environmental and climate policy.
Lahiru Ranasinghe is the Director of Sustainability at easyJet, having previously been the airline’s Head of Net Zero. An experienced aerospace professional with expertise in airline strategy, network planning and sustainability, Lahiru played a pivotal role in creating the airline’s net zero roadmap, putting his background in aeronautical engineering to use and working with experts across the industry to create the airline’s award-winning decarbonisation strategy.
Lahiru has been in the airline industry for over a decade, holding commercial and strategy roles at British Airways and Virgin Atlantic before joining easyJet, joining in 2019 as a Senior Strategy Manager before moving into the sustainability function in 2022. Prior to joining the airline industry, he completed a Masters in Aeronautical Engineering and started his career as an engineer working on Airbus commercial aircraft.
Marylin is leading EUROCONTROL’s Aviation Sustainability Team supporting European aviation with data driven models and tools on aviation’s environmental impact, contributing to research and innovation programmes aimed at reducing aviation’s impact on the environment and responsible for EUROCONTROL’s support facilities on the EU Emissions Trading Schemes and CORSIA.
